Does the weight of the boxes have a limit?
We understand that the safety of your belongings during transit is of utmost importance. That's why we provide guidelines on the weight of your moving boxes. For manual handling during collection, we recommend a weight limit of 35 to 40 kilograms per box to ensure the protection of your items.
Please note that in areas serviced by courier, the weight limit per box is lower at 29 kilograms. Overweight boxes may be subject to cancellation of the order, so it's essential to follow these guidelines to ensure the safe and successful delivery of your belongings.
How can I ship my large item if it doesn't fit in this box?
We take special care to ensure the safe and secure transportation of larger items. These items should be properly prepared for shipping by being flat-packed, covered in sturdy cardboard, and in good condition. Our pricing for these items is based on their cubic volume, ensuring that you receive an accurate and fair estimate for shipping your larger belongings.
How do you calculate large items cubic volume?
To accurately calculate the shipping cost for larger items, Lanka cargo uses a volumetric calculation method. This involves multiplying the item's length, width, and height in inches, then dividing the result by 1728. This method ensures a fair and precise estimate for the shipping of your larger belongings
